Dear SAP,

Refer Fiori app ‘Analyze Production Cost – Event-based’, I filter production order that is closed in period but report is still displaying production order that is closed in the previous month

Please check help for the field From Fiscal Period.

It shows:

Fiscal Period From / To

The current fiscal period is shown by default, and you can adjust the date range as required.

Only postings within the specified time frame are considered.

If an order has no postings in the date range you specify, it will appear in the table with zeros for each value.

Note that this is different to the Event-Based Work in Process app, where orders without postings are not shown.

In another word, the restriction is on postings, not on the closed date.
