Alerts not working after upgrade to version 10

Hi All,

We have a user-defined alert that stopped working after upgrading to version 10. After going through some documentation/forums, they mentioned Job Service-Alert entry: Log on to the SLD. Under the Services tab, make sure that the Job Service-Alert entry and its URL is present.
Is this different from the Job Service?

The status under mailer settings are starting.. but when I test the connection it says ok.

On the Alert and Scheduling tab the SAP B1 user is workflow and not AlertSvc. I also dont have the option to choose the company/schema where the alert should run.

Should this be reconfigured so the alerts can work again? If so, please can you let me know how.

We are on SAP Business One 10 for HANA, FP2208

Thank you.
Jerusha

In this version, alerts are controlled by the workflow service.

In addition, the user in the database that must have the email defined for sending is the workflow, no longer AlertSvc.

You have to activate the SLD so that the database has the service running. In the instances and companies section, you enable both the mailer and the alerts.

Check that in the Services section of the SLD, you have the Workflow correctly configured (server name or server IP) and it is accessible.

Also, that said service is working in the Windows environment.

Hi @JerushaLala ,

Have you installed the Service Layer? If so, is it up and running? Does the Workflow user have an assigned license? Is the password valid? These are things I would check. Additionally, you may try to use SAP's Guided Answer to troubleshoot this error:

SAP Business One Alerts are not sending - SAP Business One - Troubleshooting SAP Business One Alerts...

I hope it helps.

Thanks Everyone.. We rebooted the server.. Also made sure the workflow services were started (there are 2). After updating the the SMTP details again in the job service settings.. I restarted the servertools and service layer and all services were up and running correctly and alerts are emailing out again.

Hello,

The reason for your problem is that the service is in status "Starting". Try to click on stop then check if you can change the user to AlertSvc:

Also check if this column is "On":

If the service is not responding, try to reboot the server. Best regards
