After update to FP 2208 sporadic client crashes

After updating a system from FP2202 to FP2208, we get sporadic client crashes. Before the update, the system ran smoothly.

I get the following entries in the client.log:

Hello Dennis,

Yes, we have the same problem with HANA.

What we have found is that when the web client is not running correctly, the client quits unexpectedly much more often. We also have the impression that there is a problem with the authentication. When starting the client with the Fiori Cockpit active, you see a redirect to the SLD for a brief moment and an automatic login (similar to the web client). If this fails, the client only shows a white background instead of the cockpit. The Enterprise Search shows that the login did not work correctly. If you open the search field, you see the login screen of the web client instead of the search field. In this case, the client will not work properly.

We even set up a new Windows VM with moderate success.

Check or implement the following:

• Installation of the latest .net framework, installation of the latest Windows updates,
• un- and reinstallation of the B1-Client
• Restart the web client
• Check local-config.xml that there are no <localhost> entries (restart the vm after modification) -> That helped a lot!
