Adjustment of ML indicator in Material Master is not possible.

Need the ability to adjust the “ML indicator" (Material Ledger Activated at Material Level) for some materials in the material master in the Accounting 1 view. This is not possible via the “Change material” app, as the field is grayed out. This is also not possible via Mass Maintenance for Products because this field is not available in the scope.

How can this indicator be subsequently ticked?

To activate the Material Ledger (ML) you need to:

1. Access your CBC System or Manage Your Solution and go to SSCUI / Configuration Activity 103539 - Define Attributes of Material Types.
2. Select the relevant Material Type and double-click "Quantity/value updating" in the left tree.
3. Check the relevant Valuation area and verify whether the indicators "Quantity updating" and "Value updating" are set.

If a material is created without setting the "Quantity Updating" and "Value Updating" fields in ML, and you attempt to activate these fields afterward, the material master will not be updated for the existing materials. However, any newly created material will have ML activated.

It's generally recommend that you change the value and/or quantity (ML) update for new material types only. Changes on customizing for material type can cause inconsistencies.
