Adding New Field in Validation

Hi

Iam tying to create a Validation at Line Item Level, where I have to write

BSEG-SGTXT=" " (should not be equal to blank)

Problem is , I can not find this field (BSEG-SGTXT) in Validation Table List. I tried to add it through VWTYGB01 but it is not excluded.

Please tell me how to add Field “BSEG-SGTXT” in validation or substitution

Hi,

VWTYGB01 view is relevant for substitution. For validation, it doesn't even matter what is the value of 'excluded' flag. Additionally, SGTXT field is substitutable by default.

Make sure that the field is indeed not in the list (send a screenshot?) You can equally try to type it manually and check the syntax of the rule; see if any error is coming.

After you do VWTYGB01, i think you need to run a program. RGUGBR0*. I remember it vaguely, may be wrong
