Add standard field to Fiori App F2358

Hi,

We have a requirement to add some standard fields to the "monitor purchase order items" app.
We for example want to add the incoterm. And to be precise, we are talking about fields that are not available in the "adapt filters" or "cog menu" in the app itself.

Is there any extensibility that can be done to allow this?

I dont get why SAP has chosen to not include these fields in the app when they are part of the CDS: I_PURCHASEORDERITEMAPI01

Hello @Kristian2

Purpose of the app 'Monitor Purchase Order Items' has been clearly mentioned in the below documentation.
https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_CLOUD/0e602d466b99490187fcbb30d1dc897c/82f1e2574096f432e1000000...

I think there must a business reason associated for bringing IncoTerm field in above app. Request you to create your own report using the mentioned CDS views and other as per your requirement.

Best Regards,
Vijayendra

Hi,

As far as I can tell, this is the only app that lest us create a list of orders at an item level.

And yes, it comes from an operational requirement. We have a 3PL that require us to provide this information when communicating with them.

And to be honest, I find it really strange that this is so inflexible that we cant make a simple list showing information that is readily available on the order.

Do we really have to tell our logistics department that we have to develop a custom app just because they want to see incoterm for a line item?

Hello @Kristian2, If the purpose is just to download the list of PO items and pass on to the 3PLs, kindly use the app 'Manage Purchase Orders' it has incoterms at both level. Now as I mentioned the purpose of every app will be unique which may or may not serve the purpose of each and every customer in a way they expects it to be. Now the purpose to provide such CDS views and extension point is to make sure that there is a possibility to extend for customer as per their need. Best Regards, Vijayendra

The problem is that the "manage purchase orders" doesnt have line item information.

If we had a similar app as we do in sales (list sales orders), the problem would be solved. But even in that app, we would still like to have more fields available to show from the CDSs. At this point, it is easier for us to just give users access to the customer data browser.

Hello @Kristian2, If need is to extract entire line item details then apps like Manage Purchase Orders and My Purchasing Document Items would not be able to help. My suggestion would be to better develop a simple report using the delivered CDS view and include all fields that business needs.
