Activity Price thru KP26 & KP06

Former Member

I want a clarification regarding activity price calculation:

- I know that we can manually enter the activity quantity and variable/fixed rates in kP26. If that is the case, what is the purpose of quantity that is entered in KP26 ?

- Other way, we can plan the cost element in the cost centre and later on maintain the quantity in KP26 and do the KSPI (plan run) and the system will calculate the prices. In this case, I hope, system will be calculating the fixed price only. What about the variable price then ?

hi nikitha..

I am really confused to see the various comments on this issue. Basic requirement is to calculate fixed & variablr price after KSPI run

If you follow the steps below your purpose will serve:

KP06 1-101 Cost Centre Planning - element planning (Fixed value & Variable Value)

1-102 Activity Distribution to findout Fixed/Variable Price

if both are required paln Variable quanty

otherwise Fixed qty

KP26 1-201 Activity Planning (Activity qty)

You have to use both the layout in KP06 & remember the total activity qty you have planned in KP26 that should match you activity distribution in KP06 (1-102 layout)

thanks

Hi,

You should update the Variable Price once the calculation is over from system side for the Fixed costs. Then when you post the allocation, system will not check how the values are arrived at in KP26. It will only take the values as available at the time of posting the document (Both Fixed and Variable).

Hi,

When you say that you have done Activity independent cost planning, it means that you have planned only Fixed costs.

And with the help of the quantity entered in KP26 and splitting, SAP calculates the Fixed Price when launched Transaction KSPI.

Then when you update the Variable costs manually along with the calculated Fixed costs, system will take the Total cost for the activity.

Planning and Splitting is the flexibility to avoid manual update only.

Hi Niki

Yes Niki.. You are right.. If you manually enter act price, then qty is of no use

- Other way, we can plan the cost element in the cost centre and later on maintain the quantity in KP26 and do the KSPI (plan run) and the system will calculate the prices. In this case, I hope, system will be calculating the fixed price only. What about the variable price then ?

If you do activity dependant planning in KP06 i.e. you plan with ref to act type in KP06, you can plan both FIX and VAR expenses... Hence, the price in KSPI would be divided into Fix and Var

But If I maintain KP06 (activity independent), then how the variable price will come ?

Hi

Then it wont! Activity Dep Cost Planning is the pre-requisite

If you dont plan that way, then entering manual price in KP26 is the only option you have

Hi,

you are talking about activity independent price planning in layout (1-101) you do the planning for price with the combination of (Cost Center/Activity and Cost Element) here you only do the price planning. both variable and fixed prices

where as in KP26 you do the quantity planning for Activity and Cost Centers.

and finaly to get the planned price you have to run KSPI

hope that was helpful

Please advise me whether the following option will work out:

I plan activity independent costs through KP06 for the cost centre/cost elements.

Then I enter the activity quantity & variable price in KP26.

Then I run KSPI and then fixed price is updated.

Hence finally will I have variable & fixed price for the activity ?

first is KP26 then KP06 and finally your KSPI then you will get Fixed and Variable prices
