Activating the feature ID FTGL_500717 for new Resource-Related Intercompany Billing

Upon checking of the road map for intercompany billing, Planned Q1 2025 there is Activation of new resource-related intercompany billing using SSCUI. could you please confirm the following:
1. Does the activation of the new solution will be automatically activated on Q1 2025?
2. What will happen if we will not proceed on activating the new solution? Does the old solution can still be use?
3. Is it required to activate the new solution?
