Good Day
We are planning to activate scope item 4E9. I would like to understand the process of activating this process.
If we activate this in our QA environment, does it automatically activate it into Production or can we activate it at a different stage in QA and PRD.
If the activation occurs simultaneously, is there a way that we can block users from using the new scope item within the PRD environment
Thank you

Hi tpurchase123 : In addition to what mentioned by my colleague eduardosperafico rightly , in short you will have to open a change project in Q, activate the scope item as mentioned in the below link, move it across to P and this will automatically activate the scope item into you P system upon successful completion.
To answer your question about blocking, this scope item will lead into a new Project Billing mechanism which is already optional for you to use. Having said that, this will give you an option to switch to the new engine on the Create Project App where you will have an option switch - Use Project Billing (New). Hence if you feel you can keep this switched off so that your project will not be created with the new billing engine.
Another way to hide this option from the screen so that it does not impact your current users is by personalizing the App using the 'Adapt UI' option for this screen in the Me Area. This way you can hide this option from the UI of the app until you do not choose to use this option and again unhide it later using the same option. Please see the screenshot below :

Hi @Saumitra thank you for response. We hid the option but the warning or information message still appearing when changing the project status to Contract Preparation. this is the message
" Please review the preferred billing solution for this project as you cannot change this setting after the Contract Preparation stage. To update this setting, change the stage to In Planning."
I asked our internal developer to check where they can disable this message, They will check but might need some guidance as they did not put the validation.
please help.
thank you.
Kind regards
Angelina
Hi gdubeau ,
No we were not able to disable the information message. I created an incident and we were advised to log this as a customer Influence request. I received the response below.
"I checked with the colleagues from development.
The warning message is activated once 4E9 scope item is active, and since there is no possibility to deactivate the scope item.
If you would like this option to be available, please submit a suggestion of feature by following the KBA below:

Thanks.
