Hi all,
At the group level, we are transitioning to SAP S/4HANA and need to set up a process for group reporting/consolidation (in BCS). This involves in our architecture a pre-stage in Datasphere collecting financial data from all sub-brands, which currently operate on various ERPs. While the integrations and data extraction from the brands are being developed in Datasphere, we still need an account mapping tool to align the sub-brands' accounts with the parent/group accounts.
One idea is to build this functionality directly in Datasphere, but I'm unsure if that's the best approach. Does anyone have experience with a working setup for account mapping in Datasphere (DSP) or recommendations for specific modules or tools that could handle this?

Dear,
if you're already on S/4HANA, then group reporting is the module to handle financial consolidation,
Group Reporting Data Collection can be used to collect data from SAP ECC, and non SAP systems.
another approach is to use central finance to replicate journal entries from non -SAP system to SAP systems, then use either use Group reporting or BCS for consolidation, for BCS, the mapping is done in G/L account master data, group chart of accounts and operation chart of accounts,
if above two approaches not applicable,
then at least use group chart of accounts mapping for SAP systems(ECC or S/4), perhaps in Non-SAP system, same group account can also be maintained.
