Hello SAP Community,
I'm encountering an issue while posting a G/L document using they goal is to post line items to a Profitability Segment (PSG) as the real cost object and also to a statistical Internal Order for reporting purposes.
The Internal Order is correctly configured with the "Statistical" indicator active. While the posting works perfectly when I use a Cost Center as the real object, it fails when I use a Profitability Segment. With a PSG, the system seems to incorrectly treat the statistical IO as a real object, leading to an error.
I have already tried using the field E1BPACFL09-STAT_CON = 'X' to explicitly flag the line item as statistical. However, when this is set along with the PSG data, the entire G/L line item is simply dropped from the final accounting document.
The business requirement is to use statistical orders to track project costs, while the true posting must go to CO-PA. My background is in FI, so I am still developing my CO expertise. I would be grateful for any insights on the following:
Is it a standard SAP limitation that a Profitability Segment and a statistical Internal Order cannot be used together on a single line item in the ACC_DOCUMENT04 IDoc?
Am I missing a specific field or configuration in the IDoc that is required for this scenario?
If this approach is not possible, could you suggest an alternative for achieving a real posting to CO-PA with a simultaneous statistical posting to an Internal Order via an interface?
Thank you in advance for your help!
