AATP Functionality for BOP and PAL

Hi Gurus,

I have doubt regarding AATP BOP and PAL Functionality. Can BOP work with PAL? Suppose I have 2 customers those I maintained in PAL with 10 qty each and I don't have any stock after some time I added stock of 10 qty and ran BOP but BOP not able to confirm Quantity in sales order

Please help to solve this issue.

Hi Andreas,

Thank you for your quick response. I was not able to add comment in earlier thread for your questions. Any way I have closed earlier thread. Here below comments on your points:

  • Does the Product Allocation allow at all a confirmation or is it restricting? - Yes, it is allowing
  • Does the BOP Variant use confirmation strategy that lead to an exception if not fully confirmed? - No, I have used redistribute strategy
  • Does BOP Run in simulation mode?- - I have tried with both options

I am able to change the quantity if i run BOP without PAL based on delivery priority but while using PAL set up when stock is being added then BOP not showing confirmation of added stock.

Hi Rinku,

when checking ATP for a requirement, the same basic methods (PAC, PAL, ...) are applied, no matter if checked via va02 or BOP. Hence it sound interesting that you experience a different behavior.

You can on your side do some analysis using Review Availability Check Result (RACR) when checking in va02. You can navigate to PAL explanation and see which characters and buckets are used. This might indicate an issue or where the gap is.

BOP should read those characteristic values from the order correctly. If this is not the case or you assume it is not the case, then please raise a incident such that support colleagues can have a look.
