Hi, Experts,

in SAP Best Practice, for scope item 1JW, I have 3 questions:

1. For document "Set-up instructions". We don't have alternative plant to do ABC ATP Check,So we no need to do this set up, right ?

2. For activation of Product Allocation , SAP give some notes, what's the  meaning and influence for point 2 and 3 ?

3. where can I see more detail contents and system demo for this scope item(except best practice) ?

Thanks a lot

RGDS

Hi Joanna,

thanks for raising the questions.

To your questions:

1. Plants should only be created in your system to reflect your organisation, not for the sake of using Alternative-Based Confirmation (ABC). The Set-Up Instructions shall provide you details on how to create such a plant. When you only have one plant in your company, there is no need to set up ABC, as the overall confirmation of your requirements cannot be improved using plant substitution.

2. These notes are related to S/4HANA onPremise as it is possible to use advanced ATP or classic ERP ATP. Sales and Distribution offers product allocation and there is a new product allocation in advanced ATP. The notes you refer to shall make transparent that when product allocation in advanced ATP is activated, the product allocation coming with Sales and Distribution cannot be used anymore. Confirmations or allocations are not transferred from one product allocation solution to the other one. In short, it needs to be decided which product allocation shall be used.

When talking about 1JW we talk about S/4HANA Cloud and therefore, product allocation in advanced ATP described.

3. I am not sure if I understood this question completly.

I hope I could provide the necessary details on the answers.

Regards,

Andreas
