Guidance to Explore Fiori Apps for PP

SAP S/4HANA introduces Fiori apps to modernize and streamline production planning processes. Here’s how to explore them:

1. Access the Fiori Launchpad

  • The Fiori Launchpad is the primary interface for accessing Fiori apps.
  • Ask your SAP Basis team for the Fiori URL

2. Use the Fiori App Library

SAP provides a complete list of available Fiori apps online:

  • Visit the SAP Fiori Apps Library.
  • Steps to explore PP-related apps:
    1. Use the search bar to find apps by keywords like "Production Planning," "MRP," or "Work Centers."
    2. Filter by S/4HANA version and deployment (e.g., RISE with SAP).
    3. Check prerequisites for each app, including roles and authorizations.

3. Key Fiori Apps for Production Planning

App Name Purpose

"Monitor Material Coverage"Replaces MD04 with enhanced analytics.
"Schedule Production Orders"Graphical scheduling and optimization.
"Manage Production Orders"Replaces CO01/CO02/CO03.
"Monitor Work Center Utilization"Visualizes capacity planning.
"Manage Bills of Material"BOM management with a user-friendly interface.
"Analyze Capacity Utilization"Advanced reporting for work centers.

Hi there

Thank you for this collection. However, regarding HANA it is important to always keep the Compatibility Scope in mind. I.e. while the GUI transactions for the graphical planning table might be available at the moment, their usage rights expire at the end of 2025. This applies not only to CM21 and CM29, but also MF50.
(see SAP note 2268050 - S4TWL - Graphical Planning Table)

To add more value to your list (and for ease of use) may I also suggest that you could...

  1. Add the Fiori app ID to your list(s), e.g. F0251A for Manage Material Coverage
  2. List the actual Fiori alternative to the transaction (e.g. the Fiori alternative to CM01 is Manage Work Center Capacity F3289)
(NB: even though SAP always says that Fiori apps are not direct replacements of GUI transactions).

Lastly, you might want to revise your tags and add Production/Manufacturing (...) tags. And I am also not sure why you posted this under Q&A?
