2025 Update: Alternatives to Scope Item 2JD (Fiori Analytical Apps for Production Planning)

In the recent 2025 release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, I noticed that the scope item 2JD (SAP Fiori Analytical Apps for Production Planning) has been removed.

My question is:
 What functions, apps, or tools within the system will replace the analytical capabilities previously provided by this scope item?
Are these functionalities now integrated into standard SAP Fiori apps, Embedded Analytics, or perhaps another specific scope item?

Any guidance or reference would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your question.

The 2508 “Whats New” document for the 2508 release confirms the removal of 2JD. Its analytical capabilities are now provided through standard Fiori apps and embedded analytics.

To answer your question on if these functionalities now integrated into standard SAP Fiori apps, Embedded Analytics. The answer is yes. You can consult The 2508 “Whats New” document for more details.

In 2508, the planning Tabel for repetitive manufacturing is highlighted as a key tool because it gives visibility into run schedules, material flow etc. Which means some aspects of planning analytics are delivered through these newer tools.

For example, 2QW was mentioned to potentially cover a subset of what 2JD did in the past especially in cost vs plan tracking.

Standard apps around MRP, capacity planning, production etc., now include more built-in monitoring or analytic tile that would have previously been in overview apps provided by 2JD. This suggest that SAP seems to be consolidating analytics closer to operation rather than via separate overview scope items.

Below are checks you may consider (recommendations)

• Identify which specific KPIs or overview pages you used under 2JD
• Search for equivalent standard apps/Fiori tiles in your system that have embedded analytics or dashboards.
• Check the Fiori Launchpad catalogs under production planning to see what monitoring apps are available.
• Use configuration apps or embedded setup to see if the metrics you need are exposed.
• If some analytics are missing, consider whether you need SAC, custom CDS or custom analytics to fill the gaps.
