With the latest release for SAP Central Business Configuration, exciting new features are available. This blog post will provide you with a comprehensive overview of these features.

Simplified User Experience for Milestones

In our ongoing efforts to streamline the user experience, we've merged the Scoping is Completed milestone with the Complete Activity button in the Define Scope app. This means that once you've defined your scope, you can simply choose Complete Activity to confirm it. This action will, just as before, initiate the loading of your scope into the workspace, as well as the calculation of relevant configuration activities. That’s why the Assign Deployment Target activity has become the first one in the Activities list on the Overview page in order to improve the workflow.

Additionally, we've updated some of the activity descriptions and naming for clarity. For example, the milestone previously known as Confirm Scope and Organizational Structure Phase is Completed is now referred to as the Deploy Scope and Organizational Structure activity. What’s more, you can initiate the deployment of your scope and organizational structure also from the Deployment Target app. These changes aim to make the process more intuitive and understandable.

Enhanced Terminology

To better reflect the nature of your activities and improve overall terminology, we've replaced the term “project” with “workspace” throughout SAP Central Business Configuration. This update aligns with the retirement of the “project” concept since SAP Central Business Configuration mainly serves as a tool for configuration, and not for project management.

Unified Themes for the In-App Help

To provide a cohesive and seamless user experience, we've aligned the theme of the in-app help with the theme you select in your personal user settings. This ensures that your experience remains consistent and visually appealing, reducing any potential disconnect caused by differing themes.
