Before mass import using the APP Migrate Your Data - Migration Cockpit’, let’s see the current view of product ‘TT_LQ_01’. The financial view is missing (Valuation Areas are empty) Step 1: Create migration project Now let’s open APP ‘Migrate Your Data - Migration Cockpit’ , create a migration project via staging tables (from xml file upload) Name the project for example ‘Product - extend’ Scroll down and step 2 will appear. Search for ‘product’ and choose ‘Product – extend existing record by new org levels’, click Review. Tick at least ‘Product’ and click ‘Add’ Now let’s go to maintain migration objects within the newly created project. It might take a while before we can process due to running activities. Step 2: Download template Once ready, tick the ‘Product – extend existing record by new org levels’, on the Action column, 6 steps need to be proceed starting from ‘Download template’ Add the financial view of the project in the excel. Step 3: Upload the xml file and Mapping Tasks The click second step ‘Upload’. It takes a while before the 4th step ‘Mapping Tasks’ shows up. You can select all and click ‘Confirm’ or confirm the items one by one. Step 4: Simulate After that you can proceed with step 5 ‘Simulate’. You may encounter errors and need to go to monitor and check those errors. Mostly because there are still many fields mapping need to be confirmed. Step 5: Migrate After fixing all those errors, you can proceed with ‘Migrate’ and here you can see the final result. We have successfully extended the product with financial view.
