Transparency. We learned to love this word. It implies that there are no small letters, that expectations are aligned, it encourages us to trust and believe that there will not be any unpleasant surprises. We demand transparency from our employees, and expect it from our business partners. And … it is highly significant when transforming sales and purchases into accounting records. When creating documents that generate journal entries, you can preview the expected journal entry before you add the document. In addition, you can also decide that the journal entry will be split according to the document lines – so you'll have it one-to-one – transparency, remember? But what if this is not a perfect match for your business? let's say you have documents with dozens of lines – do you really need the journal entry to reflect that? Or maybe for accounting purposes the condensed transaction is sufficient? Well, you can have it all:

In the "Split Journal Entry Posting by Document Lines" setting, you can choose the option "Split in Journal Entry Preview Only". This way, you can review the detailed and transparent 1:1 journal entry and adjust the document if needed before adding it, and once the document is added it generates journal entry that is not split by document lines.
