To clarify, lead compounds along with other heavy metals, these are often regulated however the regulations rarely specify exactly which substances they regulating. Then the customer has to decide if their substance falls into this newly regulated category and assign the substance to the correct group. Now when a compliance requirement version that went into force in June of 2021 is replaced by a new one in May 2023, the assignments of substances to groups in the newer version are automatically adapted when the new compliance requirement version is activated.
Why are group assignments for substances and compliance requirement versions important? Products often consist of various substances, such as chemicals, materials, or components. This feature is available for public cloud customers, not yet for on-premise and private cloud customers.
