Did you know that every year SAP SuccessFactors releases their first set of innovations in the same month as the Super Bowl and Chinese New Year? In our inaugural technology release for 2016, we have lots to celebrate – especially if you’re in IT, HR, or if you’re just a regular user of our products. Bersin has released its report on HR technology Predictions for 2016, and based on the predictions it looks as if SAP SuccessFactors is well-positioned for the future, starting with our 1602 release.

In this release, we’ve focused on delivering technology enhancements that improve the overall user experience across the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite. This release is not just about the features and functions for the sake of releasing new technology, it’s about delivering simple to use and simple to run technology that serves, supports, and engages employees to be the best they can be in their jobs.

Intelligent Services

We’ve released eight new Intelligent Services events that are listed below. This brings our total number of preconfigured events to 24 since our launch in August of last year!

● Populate Performance Rating

● Calibration Session Launched

● Global Assignment Start

● Spot Awards Given

● Job Transfer

● Concurrent Assignment

Here’s an example of how these Intelligent Services significantly improve the user experience across the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite. Let’s say a manager has nominated a successor for a role that is opening up on his or her team. With Intelligent Services, the newly nominated successor will receive the notification that they have been nominated. If the successor leaves the company, the manager will be notified through Intelligent Services that the successor is no longer with the company. This allows the manager to be proactive in sourcing new candidates or developing existing employees to fill in the void. HR no longer has to manually update multiple systems, and employees are no longer left guessing what to do – our technology can recommend what to do based on changes that happen in the workplace.

Intelligent Services events are managed and viewed in the SAP SuccessFactors Event Center (available to all customers via the Admin Center or OneAdmin).
