SAP S/4HANA 2021 is out!

The 7th release in a row of SAP’s digital core was released to customers, with again innovations for all lines of business and touching many industries.

In his launch blog Sven Denecken has presented his sample, talking about the digital core foundation, intelligent ERP scenarios, Industry 4.0 and more.

We have produced additional product videos going into more details for you, and you might have seen the teaser on the SAP Technology Youtube Channel already.

 

With this blog, we are featuring two videos about this new release:

  1. A new release highlight video of SAP S/4HANA 2021, presenting innovations per lines of business, and industries, around 15'

  2. The recording of a special Community Call Live that took place October 19th, where we go deeper into release strategy, share more details about the scope of this release etc.


Note that all these innovations are also available for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Privat Edition.

The intelligent ERP, in a nutshell 

SAP S/4HANA is at the HEART of the intelligent enterprise: end-to-end business processes powered by the SAP Business Technology Platform. These business processes support 25 industries like consumer product, retail, or utilities.

Innovative technologies such as machine learning, conversational AI, and robotic process automation are embedded into the business processes to make them more intelligent.

Line-of-Business Innovations with SAP S/4HANA 2021

Many of them are available in SAP S/4HANA Cloud already, since we have one code line for all SAP S/4HANA deployment modes.

Here is a sample of LoB innovations for you. You will learn about Receivables Management and Payment Handling or Financial Compliance Management content in the line of business Finance.

We are sharing some MRP and quality management update in Manufacturing area. A new machine learning–based suggestion enhances this innovation in the asset management area.

Central sourcing is enhanced with with a commodity pricing engine to reduce manual work.

And again, those innovations will also be available for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Privat Edition. Watch more in the video.

Industry Innovations with SAP S/4HANA 2021

As the leading ERP in 25 industries, SAP continues to lead the way with innovations in most of the branches.

In Consumer Products, discover the new application “Last Mile Distribution for Direct Distribution” designed for manufacturers and suppliers of different consumer goods industries, as an alternative approach to making central retail deliveries to provide goods to stores.

In Utilities, we have release a new application to execute a cost calculation simulation based on the product attributes, and the entered consumption to communicate the result to the customer.

For the Wholesale Distribution industry, and particularly Royalties Settlement for Sales that has been enhanced, and now offers an overview of all settlement management scheduling worklists relevant to your role.
