Dear customers and SAP colleagues,
It was a great pleasure to meet some of our customers in our SAP Experience Center in the Copenhagen office, joining a 2-day event with topics which are high on many company agendas.
This post is providing you with a short summary of the topics, with link to the presentations and connections to SAP experts whom you can reach out to if you want to talk more about topics or get more information.
The Premium Engagement event is aiming at knowledge sharing, networking, and learning from each other.
We started with a session about
Cloud ALM – why this is an important topic for companies and how Premium Engagement can help.
Brian Duffy, who is Business Manager in Cloud Customer Success @ SAP, presented what it is all about, the strategy, how to get started and things to consider, as well as how to get support from Premium Engagement. From Salling Group, we had
Mikael Thystrup, who is a Project Manager to tell us how the operations are handled at Salling Group and what is important for their business.
SAP S/4HANA Journeys are on most companies’ agenda, some already completed the work, others are in progress, and some are in the evaluation and decision phase.
Felix Diepenbrock, who is Business Manager in Cloud Customer Success @ SAP gave us an overview on the various approaches, combined with some insights into general recommendations and how we see this developing across companies and industries.
Gabriele Ertl, who is Principal Business Process Consultant from Business Transformation Services @ SAP, shared with us how the Value & Implementation Strategy (VIS) Service can help companies to understand the benefits of the transition and the input to an implementation both on a business process and architecture level.
Peter Munk Larsen, who is Senior Director @ GRUNDFOS Holding A/S and
Martin Johan Nærland & Ida Carlsen @ DFØ presented their stories about how the decisions was made, the leverage of the VIS service and what it gives, the roll out plans and last but most importantly the learnings that other companies can take with them.
The last topic on the first day was the input about how to evolve towards your
digital transformation with a clean core,
Maurice Morrin, Chief Architect ALM & DevOps from the Premium Hub CoE @ SAP and
Tom McShane, Business Manager from CoE Ireland Platform & Extensions @ SAP gave this presentation and provided insights into how this journey is key for the long term agility to drive new initiatives fast, operate effectively and save cost as well as be ready for Cloud.
An important part of the event is to network and learn from each other. We spend the evening together with an informal dinner, where it was very visible that meeting up in person is prompting a lot of talking, sharing and learning from each other.
Wednesday morning, we kicked the day off with an interactive inspiration session by
Jaikumar (Jai) Ramakrishnan, who is the Head of Premium Engagements in Cloud Success Services in our North region @ SAP. Jai spoke about
what we see Customers Expect from SAP. The session created a good conversation about this topic of how Premium Engagement is focused on and working together with companies in 7 key areas: Strategy, Roadmap, Enterprise Architecture, Design (Functional and Technical), Continues Quality Assurance, IT Operating Model (Target & BAU) and last but not least Capability Development & Change Management (SAP). One action from this session is that we will plan for a virtual session to go more into depth with this topic – watch out for the invite.
Arndt Lingscheid, who is Solution Owner for Cyber Security and Data Protection @ SAP, was sharing how to
secure your SAP Landscape against external and internal Cyber-Attacks. This is a big topic, which is also very key when moving from the on-prem world to a Hybrid and Cloud environment. Arndt covered both how SAP is coping with all the attacks we see around the world these days, as well as going into depths with the specifics in terms of who does what.
Claus Christensen who is Solution Advisor in the SAP Signavio team @ SAP, presented
what Signavio is all about, how to get started and what to consider when working with business processes. Very interesting topic, which is relevant for most companies.
Mads-Ole Bak, who is Director & Domain Lead and
Lena Høg Smedegaard, who is Senior Product Manager, both from Danish Crown, presented how they got started with SAP Signavio, the considerations as well as pros and cons.
We rounded the event up with a session about how
Premium Engagement work well together with RISE. For this session we had
David Pisoni, who is a TQM and Engagement architect from Cloud Success Services @ SAP who has practical experience in exactly working with customers together with RISE. David presented how PE and RISE complement each other, gave real examples and show how fast an implementation can be done.
Based on the excellent feedback from our customers and SAP presenters, we can conclude that the topics on the agenda was highly appreciated, the mix between customer and SAP presentations, gives extra value and practical knowledge, and that after being in virtual events the past years, it is great to be back and meet again F2F – being able to meet new people, reconnect with people we have not met for a long time. The rooms were buzzing with talks, laughs and energy. Thanks for all the conversations and looking forward to meeting again.
