SAP Activate Methodology Roadmap Update
We are pleased to announce the availability of the new version of the “Transition to SAP S/4HANA” roadmap, available now in the SAP Roadmap Viewer. We have gathered great feedback from our own customer community, our SAP experts, and the Product Management team to build on the previous release and continuously improve the roadmap with updated content to follow SAP S/4HANA software release.

SAP Activate Implementation Methodology gives the customer the freedom to get up and running quickly to innovate continuously. It provides implementation guidance to project teams implementing SAP solutions. It includes a recommended list of deliverables, tasks, and set of accelerators to use in each phase of the project during your transition to S/4HANA.
Transition to SAP S/4HANA roadmap covers three implementation scenarios:
- System conversion: convert an existing SAP ERP application to SAP S/4HANA, including business data and configuration.
- New implementation: implement a new instance of SAP S/4HANA by either migrating a legacy system or by running a net-new installation of SAP S/4HANA.
- Landscape transformation: consolidate existing SAP software landscape – or carve out selected entities or processes – as part of your move to SAP S/4HANA.

The roadmap (18Q2 version) has been updated with new information on the 1709 Feature Pack Stack 01 release. Most changes were made at a task level. The workstream with the most significant change is the “
Design &Configuration,” where the tasks description for Fit/Gap and Configuration have been enhanced and re-written to describe the application configuration for the Line of Business areas (in the past, it was structured by Business priorities). Another exciting update is that the RoadMap Viewer has a new look and feel! You will now be able to filter easily through your content and access faster the content you are looking for, but you will also be able to favorite all the pages for quicker access next time you visit the Roadmap.
