Recommendation-Assisted Sales Order Creation - Part 1: How to Enable Recommendation

As of SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2402, you can complete sales order data with the aid of system recommendations in the Manage Sales Orders - Version 2 app.

Currently the following sales order fields support recommendation:

Before using the recommendation feature, complete the following steps:

 

Step 1: Activate Scope Item 73P

Note: Scope Item 73P has some region limitation. For details, please check Note 3389633 - Restrictions for Setting up Sales Order Automation (73P).

Refer to the following information to activate scope item 73P.

To check whether 73P has been activated, you can execute prerequisite checks in the Intelligent Scenario Management app (F4470).

1. Log on to your system with role SAP_BR_ANALYTICS_SPECIALIST.

2. Open the Intelligent Scenario Management app, and search for intelligent scenario "SLS_DOC_AUTO_COMPLTN".

3. Click "Prerequisite Checks".

   

4. Go through all steps and click "Start Prerequisite Check Run".

   

5. Wait until the Overall Run Status becomes "Successful".

6. Open check results. The third check indicates whether scope item 73P is activated in your system.

   Note: The first check indicates whether your system could connect to the Data Attribute Recommendation service. The second check indicates whether your system has enough transactional data for model training. Without enough transactional data, you still can start a training but possibly with poor quality.

   

Step 2: Train Machine Learning Model

1. Log on to your system with role SAP_BR_ANALYTICS_SPECIALIST.

2. Open the Intelligent Scenario Management app (F4470), and search for intelligent scenario "SLS_DOC_AUTO_COMPLTN".

3. Click "Train" to start a new training.

   • Version: Choose "3.0". This field indicates the API version that you use to start a training. Currently only "3.0" is available.
   • Package Size: This field indicates the size of uploading batch. If your system doesn't have enough memory, specify a smaller number, and vice versa.
   

   You can customize your training data in this dialog. Please see the next blog for more details.

4. Wait until the training status becomes "Completed".

5. Select the training instance and click "Deploy".

6. Wait until the deployment status becomes "Deployed".

7. Select the deployed instance and click "Activate for Me" or "Activate for All".

Okay! Now you can use the recommendation feature in your system.
