In the previous blog. We illustrated how to use Financial Plan Data Write API to post overhead expense to a cost center. In this blog we are continuing our planning and budgeting topics, and we are going to allocate the overhead expense to several cost centers based on planned statistical key figure values.
In our demo, there are five cost centers; overhead cost center will be the sender to allocate the expense to the rest of cost centers based on planned statistical key figures.
Open Fiori App Import Statistical Key Figure Plan Data and choose Cost Center Statistical Key Figures template.
Fill in the template with cost centers and their respective statistical values. In our example, 1001 is number of employees.
In Fiori App Import Statistical Key Figure Plan Data, click Browse CSV files to select the excel template prepared, hit Import Source File to import plan data.
To check the results, as for CE2502, there is no Fiori app to do so directly. A custom consumption CDS view based I_FinStatisticalKeyFigureItem can be created using Fiori app Custom Analytical Queries.
Open Fiori App Manage allocations to create cost center allocations. Maintain Receiver Rule: Variable portions; Sender Rule: Posted amounts; and maintain other attributes accordingly.
In Receiver Basis tab, choose SKF-1 as statistical plan data, and maintain other attributes accordingly.
Run the Allocation and view the results.
We have demonstrated the process steps to import planned statistical key figures and based on their values allocating cost center expenses. So far with previous blogs, we have posted planned revenue, cost and expenses, in the next blog, we are going to custom develop a report via embedded Analytics Fiori apps to view the planned data and comparing with actuals.
