Many of you are already familiar with the SAP Activate Methodology and how it supports customers with the implementation of various SAP Products. Today, I would like to show you a feature in Cloud ALM that can make it even easier: the Guided Implementation.
This functionality provides you with an overview of each phase of the SAP Activate Methodology and the tasks related to them. It will allow you to manage your tasks in a meaningful and easy way, and still provide you with all the best practices, guidelines, templates and checklists you will need while performing the implementation activities.
The access to the Guided Implementation feature is as easy as its use. Once you have your project created, go to the drop-down menu from your home page, under the ‘Implementation’ section, and click on ‘Guided Implementation’ and you are ready to go!
You will then see the six phases of the SAP Activate Methodology: Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run. Additionally, you will be able to view the number of tasks you are responsible for based on your project role, along with the number of tasks you have already completed..
Besides seeing a general picture of your project’s progress, you can dive into each task and see its content, as well as the accelerators (Resources) attached to it. For each task, you can select the Status (Open, In Progress, Blocked, Done, or Not Relevant), the Planned Completion date, and assign the Person Responsible. You can also move between tasks using the ‘Previous’ and ‘Next’ buttons.
