We have updated the SAP Activate roadmap
SAP S/4HANA Upgrade and Product Integration to the new SAP S/4HANA 2022 release, also reflecting on the new release strategy with the new task
Release Strategy for SAP S/4HANA.
The compatibility packages transformation to the new corresponding SAP S/4HANA solutions is getting more and more into focus since the end of maintenance will be reached at the end of year 2025 for most of the compatibility packages. We have included new tasks to explain the relevant steps, see
Compatibility Package Replacement and
Check the Compatibility Packages in use and License Expiration. For general information about compatibility packages, you may also refer to the blogs

To emphasize that a transition to a new user experience based on SAP Fiori can add business value, we have introduced several new tasks about establishing the business value of user experience and creating a UX strategy and roadmap. Check the tasks
Run the “Establish the Business Value of User Experience” Workshop (Discover),
Run the “User Experience Strategy and Guiding Principles” Workshop, and
Run the “Scope and Envision the Future” Workshops with the corresponding templates provided in the accelerator sections.
A new activity UX Implementation has been introduced in the Realize phase to realize the defined strategy (replaces the old task for enhancing and developing user interfaces under the Product Enhancements activity).
For the first time, the SAP Activate roadmap SAP S/4HANA Upgrade and Product Integration has been uploaded to SAP Cloud ALM and is available for customers there for project management.
This is an example screenshot of a task description in SAP Cloud ALM - you see that all accelerators from the Road Map Viewer are available in SAP Cloud ALM, too, and you can create your own sub-tasks, and create milestones and timeboxes, assign project team members to tasks, and start implementing.
Therefore, we have started positioning SAP Cloud ALM as a lightweight alternative to Focused Build in SAP Solution Manager as the project support tool from SAP. We will add even more SAP Cloud ALM content into the road map in future.
The SAP Activate Roadmap "Transition to SAP S/4HANA" has been updated, too. For detailed information, check this blog:
