As of SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2208 we offer a new
My Home space, which provides you with easy access to the business insights, tasks, and applications you need to do your job with greater speed and agility. New
My Home lets you access and manage your to dos, your insights, your favorite pages, and your favorite apps on any device. It builds on the functionality of SAP Fiori Launchpad and leverages spaces and pages (as a prerequisite). In this blog, we’ll dive deeper into the functions provided by the new
My Home space in SAP S/4HANA Cloud. You might also be interested in an

New My Home in SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2208
Prerequisites
With SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2208, we follow an ‘opt-in’ approach. This means that to use the new
My Home space your administrator first needs to activate it.
If your system is already configured to use
spaces and pages, activating new
My Home is very straight forward:
This administrators guide that explains how to enable and optionally configure the new
My Home space, for example change the color pallet for page and app favorites.
If your system does not yet make use of
spaces and pages, this needs to be enabled first (see
Structure the SAP Fiori Launchpad Layout with Spaces)
As of SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2302 we intend to switch to an ‘opt-out’ approach. This means that all users shall get the new
My Home space by default if
spaces and pages is activated.
New My Home features 4 sections
To Dos
At a glance, the To Dos section provides an overview of your to dos combining tasks from the
My Inbox app and situations from the
My Situations app.

The Pages section provides quick access to your favorite pages and features an optional news feed, which can be configured by your key user / administrator.

You can easily manage your page favorites using the
Edit Pages dialog that you can access by clicking on the pencil icon next to the section title.

Apps
The Apps section provides easy access to your favorite, recently used, and frequently used apps. Note that the color of an app favorite is defaulted to the color of the page on which the app is featured – provided that the page is part of your Pages section. An app will have a grey icon if is not featured on any page or the page is not in your Pages section.

Apps sections
You can:
- Change the order of your favorite apps using drag and drop
- Change the color of an app or remove it by clicking on the 3 dots and choosing Select Color or Remove

- Add an app using the App Finder, which you can access by clicking on the pencil icon next to the section title

Insights
The Insights section allows you to monitor critical business information through KPIs and micro charts. The information is displayed either as a
tile (KPI, Micro Chart or Monitoring tile) or as a
card (Analytical card).

Insights section
You can easily manage tiles and cards using the
Edit Insights dialog, which you can access by clicking on the pencil icon next to the section title.
Tiles
The
Tiles tab of the
Edit Insights dialog shows the already configured insight tiles. These are the same tiles that you already know from SAP Fiori Launchpad and that you can see in the App Finder. We recommend to place only KPI, Micro Chart or Monitoring tiles in the Insights section and use the Apps Section if only a Basic Launch tile exists.
On the
Tiles tab in the
Edit Insights dialog you can:
- Manage visibility
- Remove tiles
- Change the order of display using drag and drop
- Convert them into wide tiles
- Add additional tiles via the App Finder or from Available Insights.
Note: Available insights are derived from your favorite apps, for which a dynamic or smart business tile exists in the tiles library.

There are two ways in which you can add new cards.
- You can copy a card using the copy button in the cards preview in the Edit Insights dialog. On the copied card you can change title, subtitle, and filter parameters. Don’t miss the refresh button for the preview to get a visualization of your copied card.

- Alternatively, you can navigate to your favorite overview page, apply relevant filter parameters and views and use the 3 dots to ‘Add Card to Repository’. It will then appear in your Insights section. Note that you can show up to 8 cards in the Insights section.
