2025 is here and SAP Business One Support are as committed as ever to help and to guide you in the right direction. In this blog we will provide tips for Period End Closing material, a bit of information on the last delivered Webinar (Service Layer) and a shout out for the SAP Business One Communities and the Forums.

First out – the communities – if you are reading this blog you are in the communities. SAP Business One Support is committed to helping answering threads here. In 2024 we were involved in over 500 threads. We have no plans of slowing down, quite the opposite, we are hoping for bigger engagement in 2025. We strongly encourage you to use it and engage with your peers. It is a win-win, your experience is appreciated, and you can tap into the experience of others.

Check the latest threads here and post your own – SAP Business One Community

Period End Closing – all the important resources.

There is a lot of different materials that SAP has made available, ranging from basic how-to stuff to more intricate issues that you might run into.

Starting with the basics - How to Perform a Year-End Closing in SAP Business One 10.0 – it takes you through the process of how to prepare and execute the period end in SAP Business One.

If you are already mastering this topic, then the Guided Answer (GA) for Period End Closing – covers a whole range of areas, a good friend to have when doing the closing. Also, for the experienced user.

Another GA that might come in handy is the one for Financial Statements – again, a useful resource to have available should you not agree with some of the numbers that are presented.

While we like the Guided Answer format and hope you do too, if you prefer to consume the material in the form of an SAP Note, we have a fairly detailed one for you as well - 2940618 - Troubleshooting: Period-End Closing Issues.

The note takes you through issues caused by Settings, User Handling, Database issues and some System Limitations. Much of it, you will also find in the GA previously mentioned.

Continued commitment to Webinars.

Finally, some words on our highly successful Webinar Series. We are approaching 1000 attendants in our series that will continue in 2025, while we will not reveal the upcoming topics, we can assure you that we have sessions planned for the rest of the year.

From publishing blogs in the past on technical topics, we have a pretty good sense for what excites the SAP Business One community. We are convinced that the upcoming sessions will be equally popular.

The last session of 2024 was on the topic of Service Layer configuration, we are also delivering this session in Spanish on Feb 5. All the sessions are recorded and you will find both the recordings and the materials in the KBA – 3525031 - Central KBA for Partner Enablement Sessions delivered by SAP Business One Support.

If you wish to register for the Spanish session on Feb 5 - please use the link

The session on the Service Layer Configuration had great engagement - we received more questions than what we could answer - to answer them we created a blog post on this topic - find it here - Webinar Q&A.

What more?

Short reminder about our Guided Answers. SAP Business One Support has of today released 31 different GAs. You will find all of them linked to the central KBA - 3213852 - Central KBA for SAP Business One Guided Answers

That'll be all for now. Looking forward to close cooperation in 2025.
