It's busy in the Cloud

On October 21st, after a successful day at TechEd&&d-code Las Vegas, the SAP Solution and Knowledge Packaging team hosted an evening event showcasing simplified innovation adoption for Cloud 'til 9pm. This journey to Cloud 9 happened via enablement from openSAP and out-of-the-box best practices content provided with SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions - simply call it RDS.

If you know RDS as an implementation accelerator (what it is), you probably wonder how RDS could also get you onboarded when flying to the cloud. Actually, it's even more important - as the visibility might be pretty hazy in the Cloud. You're not alone as Dilbert is foggy, too.


RDS indeed can help you, SAP Partners and our customers, to reach your final destination AND having a nice journey. Because we can help to bring back the visibility for you with pre-packaged and pre-defined content for the cloud. This includes Cloud Onboarding, Cloud Migration and Cloud Integration.

Our cloud at the event wasn't empty and blank like Dilbert's, it got pretty busy while customers and partners learned about what RDS offers - and flew their paper planes into the cloud as part of the edutainment:


During the executive keynote from Bjoern Goerke, everyone learned about the importance of the cloud and why customers start seeing the high ROI and flexibility that's giving them. Everyone learned how to apply enablement and new project tools to key steps during Cloud onboarding. One hot topic of the night included hybrid cloud environments, which SAP now has a really helpful page pointing you to concise overview of the different approaches and support SAP has for Hybrid Scenarios.

The evening’s topics included:

  • Simplified deployment of hybrid & Cloud solutions such as SuccessFactors and Ariba
  • How to leverage cloud for UX and mobile
  • Integration made easy with SAP HANA Cloud Platform
  • Exploring fast routes to SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud with turnkey solutions

My favorite customer quote was:
