Does Advanced Intercompany Sales (5D2) with Make-to-Order (MTO) work?
Yes.
Since the scope item 7DM (Advanced Intercompany Sales with MTO + AVC) been introduced in 2502 edtion, 5D2+MTO also works without additional AVC license. It worth mentioning that 7DM currently only work for DE and US country version while 5D2+MTO works for all.
Does Classic Intercompany Stock Transfer (1P9) with Make-to-Order (MTO) work with Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC)?
Yes.
Does Advanced intercompany Stock Transfer (5HP) work with Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC)?
No. You will receive the following error when triggering the intercompany sales order creation:

Yes.

This inquiry reached me is from automotive industry, the use case is as below:
Assume an automotive supplier has two legal entities: Company A and Company B. Company A is responsible for receiving orders from the OEM and subcontracting the entire order fulfillment process to Company B. Specifically, the OEM provides Company A with a sales scheduling agreement, and after production, Company B directly ships the finished goods to the OEM based on the schedule. This represents intercompany sales.
or certain company A's component is provided by company B, so company A will create purchase scheduling agreement to company B based on OEM's scheduling agreement send to company A.
As stated in the beginning, since intercompany stock transfer IP9 is not working with scheduling agreement, intercompany sales 1HO or 5D2 is not working neither.
Does Advanced intercompany Stock Transfer (5HP) work with Non-Stock Item Sales with Order-Specific Procurement (BDN)?
No. It only works for 1P9+BDN. You will encounter the following error when changing the purchasing document type from NB to NBIC.
Intercompany stock transfer only allow receipt into stock
