Hi Guys,

It's exciting here a new import log page is available as of SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2202.

What's Before

Before this new feature, the import log page shows a tree table grouped by 'Import On' and 'Import Name'. It's not convenient to check the import history as well as to track the overall status of the imports.

New Imports Log

Currently, the new import log consists of two pages:

  • List Page

  • Object Page

List Page

It lists all the imports uploaded by current logon user. You can easily view the latest imports and their overall status.

New columns are provided to help to track the imports:

  • Created --- Number of successful creations per import.

  • Failed --- Number of failed creations per import.

  • Processing Status --- Overall processing status of import items.

    • In Process --- The import is still in process.

    • Contains Errors --- Some orders from the excel are not created successfully.

    • Completed --- All orders from the excel have been created successfully.

Note: You may also notice an 'Import Status' field by adapting filters or table view settings. It simply indicates whether file data has been imported into the system, but has nothing to do with order creation. It has a much narrower meaning than 'Processing Status'.

Additionally, the app also provides button 'Return to Import Page' to navigate back to the file upload page directly.

Object Page

If you want to see more details of the import, you can click the import on the list page. The object page displays the general information of the import on the header section. The uploaded sales orders will be shown in the 'Import Items' list. You can find the creation status and created sales orders in the 'Import Items' list. You can also click the icon in 'Log' column to view the application log which is same as before.

Additionally, new 'Refresh' button can be used to retrieve the latest information of the import.

Notes: The application log will remain for 100 days. After that, it will be deleted automatically by system.

Related Application

We have also delivered an Fiori application to manage all the sales document imports where you can find the accesses to each type of sales document imports. Please refer to Blog - Import Sales Documents - Part 1: Introduction for more details.
