What is Guided Beta Testing?

Guided Beta is a program that provides SAP customers with the opportunity to test the latest SAP S/4HANA build before its official release. During this testing phase, customers can explore the new features and capabilities of the latest version of S/4HANA in their own system landscape, using their own data.

The benefits of Guided Beta Testing are numerous.
Firstly, it enables businesses to explore new products and releases cost-efficiently before the official release.
Additionally, the program provides customers with the opportunity to test their individual processes with their data in their system landscape, reducing risk and saving costs and time.

Guided Beta Testing also allows organizations to expand their individual SAP knowledge and network. By participating in the program, businesses can gain a deeper understanding of the latest features and capabilities and connect with other SAP users to exchange ideas and best practices.

Guided Beta is:

  • A Proof of Concept with the latest non-released S/4HANA Build before Release-to-Customer.
  • Specific new feature(s) introduced with the latest release of S/4HANA will be tested. End to end Regression test scenarios cannot be supported due to the limited timeframe of the program.
  • With Direct Solution Management & Development Involvement and free of charge support from SAP.

Within the Beta phase, customers will get access to the prototype of the software components listed below, as well as the complementary documentation:

  • SAP S/4HANA PRIVATE CLOUD 2023 FPS02 (Only relevant for SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Customers)
  • SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS02 (Only relevant for SAP S/4HANA On-Premise Customers)

Other common software components for both categories of customers include:

  • SAP S/4HANA FOUNDATION 2023 FPS02
  • ABAP PLATFORM 2023 SPS02
  • SAP FIORI FOR SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPSS02
  • SAP FIORI FES 2023 for S/4HANA SPS02
  • SL TOOLSET 1.0 SPS41
          - SUM 2.0 SP20
          - SWPM 2.0 SP18

What is required from the customer?

To participate in the Guided Beta program, customers must commit to the rules and regulations of the program by signing a Test and Evaluation Agreement (TEA). They must also involve their resources in testing and provide a test system landscape, including remote access. Customers must test their processes and provide valid feedback, as the program aims to improve the platform before its official release.

Guided Beta Testing is an excellent opportunity to stay ahead of the competition by exploring the latest SAP S/4HANA build before its official release. This program provides customers with the ability to test their individual processes and provide feedback, which can help SAP to improve and provide better services to its customers.

More details can be found in this presentation.

If you’re interested in joining the program, fill out the questionnaire and  apply before July 26th, 2024 at: Beta_S4HANA@sap.com

Seats in the program are limited and will be considered on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Hi Necla,

This looks quite interesting, albeit I'm not sure how it actually would work in practice - I tried to look at the presentation but it appears to be not accessible (even using my S-ID):

Response is "It looks that you do not have access to the requested resource."

Thanks,

Matt

Hello Necla,

We need information for OP 2024, what is the release for S/4 Hana Product compliance and EH&S.

OP2023-FPS0

OP2023-FPS01

OP2023-FPS02

The above releases should be considered for Beta testing for 2024?

Thanks

Shailesh Thakur
