To enhance the customer experience in monitoring changes to sales documents, the Display Change Logs – Sales Documents app (F7356) is released in SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2408 to offer an overview of sales document change logs. This app integrates various types of sales document change logs. You can apply filters to view specific change logs or display all change logs directly in their system. The app also offers user-friendly change descriptions and allows you to view and analyze sales document change logs from multiple perspectives.
Prior to the introduction of this application, you may have used the "display document changes" feature to view the change logs of a specific document. However, the resulting information looks technical.
The object page of the Manage Sales Orders - Version 2, Manage Sales Quotations - Version 2, or Manage Sales Contracts - Version 2 app also has a "Display Change Log" button. However, the button only allows you to view the change logs of a specific document.
You can access the app with business role SAP_BR_INTERNAL_SALES_REP or SAP_BR_SALES_MANAGER. The app supports change types such as insertion, deletion, and modification. You can apply filters or use fuzzy search to find specific change logs that you are interested in. Each log entry contains information about a change made to a document header, item, or schedule line. You can view details such as the changed value, the person who made the change, the time of the change, and more.
The app displays a change description for each log entry. You can easily tell what fields or table entries were changed from the change descriptions. So, get ready to experience a whole new level of convenience as you navigate through your change logs.
Each log entry contains much information. In addition to the old and new field values, the log entry also includes details from sales documents. These include the sales area, sold-to party, solution order, customer reference, and sales document type. Just click on the settings icon to select the fields you want to view.
This app offers an array of filters. In addition to the standard filters such as change type, changed by, and changed on, the app also offers additional filters that pertain to sales documents and allow you to further refine your search. These include the sales area, sold to party, solution order, customer reference, and sales document type. With just a click of the "adapt filters" button, you can easily select the filters that best suit your needs. You can also perform a fuzzy search by entering a document number or other attributes into the search field.
You can maintain restrictions on the sales area, sales document type, and price element access level for relevant business roles. It helps you build different roles with different authorization requirements. For example, as for price element authorization control, the administrator can define an access level for each condition type. If your role has no read/write access to certain condition types, you may notice certain information missing in the related change logs. In the following screenshot, the entry logs a recent update to the condition type "Manual Price" in sales document 548200. Data such as the field, change description, and old and new values is missing because the user is not authorized to view such data.
