Now the clarification on the credit exposure types in s4hc:
Credit Exposure Types
Credit exposure types are used to differentiate credit exposure related to different types of business transactions, like sales orders or deliveries. For the credit check, the total credit exposure of a business partner is the only relevant figure. However, for the purposes of reporting or analyzing a customer’s credit situation in detail, it is helpful to look at the different exposure types.
The following standard credit exposure types are available:
Credit Exposure Category |
Name of Credit Exposure Category |
Explanation |
100 |
Open Orders |
Open sales orders that contain items still to be delivered. |
150 |
Trading Contract |
Contains a trading business agreement and is used to control the processing of trading businesses. |
200 |
Open Invoices |
Invoices that have not yet been paid. |
300 |

For example, down-payments or provisions. |
400 |
Delivery Value |
The value of the delivered items. |
500 |
Billing Document Value |
A generic term for invoices, credit memos, debit memos, pro forma invoices, and cancellation documents. |
550 |

The credit exposure categories are updated to SAP Credit Management (FIN-FSCM-CR) from the calling applications,
Financial Accounting (FI-AR) and
Sales and Distribution (SD).
Example:
The credit exposure type 100 refers to open sales orders, more specifically to sales orders of sales document types that you have configured as relevant for credit checks. During the processing (creation or change) of a sales order, the credit value of the sales order gets calculated and stored as credit exposure of type 100 on the credit account of the respective customer.
