Create Physical Inventory Counts with Microsoft Excel(R)

Preparing physical inventory counts either at the year end or throughout the year is sometimes a time-consuming task when selecting and combining products for a certain count activity.

Warehouse managers wan to plan und prepare the product counts in MS Excel® format first and then upload the list of physical inventory count items to SAP Business ByDesign in a second step.

With the Button ‘Create PI Count with Microsoft Excel®’ in the Physical Inventory Count Document List you can now upload and create your Physical Inventory Documents with the help of Microsoft Excel (R).

It is just an additional way to create a 'New Product Count'.

You only have to maintain the storage location ID, the item IDs and the product IDs.

After save, the PI Count Document ID is created in ByDesign and updated in the Excel Sheet.

Prerequisite is that you have installed the Add-in for MS Excel which you find in the Home Work Center in the Self-service Overview in the Section 'My Computer' <Install additional software>.
