This blog provides an overview of innovations in SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2005 for Asset Management.
Resource Scheduling for Maintenance Planners was the highlight in my 2002 release blog for Asset Management and it is also the highlight in 2005 because it enables now collaboration between maintenance planners and reviewers and increases the overview of maintenance schedules regarding the hierarchical structure of assets.
Additionally, this blog is rounded off by some new features in Maintenance Management.
The innovations are related to the following scope items:

The business catalog EAM Resource Scheduling - Maintenance Review (SAP_CA_BC_RSH_MAINT_REVIEW_PC) was added to the business role template
Maintenance Planner - Resource Scheduling (SAP_BR_MAINTENANCE_PLNR_RSH), i.e. the template now includes a catalog specifically for reviewers. If you want to set up a business role for reviewers (with read-only access to schedules), assign this business catalog to them.
Figure 1 shows the new SAP Fiori tile Manage Schedules - For Review which is a variant of the Manage Schedules app.

Each schedule now includes an activity log. The activity log lists changes made at schedule level and changes made to the operations in the schedule. You can also post comments in the log.
You can now download a schedule as a spreadsheet. This allows you to share the schedule with someone who doesn't have access to the resource scheduling apps.
The Manage Schedules app offers now the Share Schedules feature which allows you to share your schedules with other maintenance planners and reviewers such as production planners, and therefore simplify collaboration. Besides being able to share your schedule, you can add people as maintenance planners, reviewers or revoke access to the schedule. All maintenance planners have full permissions and can modify, share or delete the schedule. Reviewers have read-only access to the schedule and cannot see the utilization forecast shown when the schedule is in “scoping” or “refinement”.

Collaboration means thinking outside the box. I'm often asked about integration between the scheduling of maintenance and production. Maintenance and production are different areas with different requirements, so we are offering specific scheduling apps for both areas. But it is important that maintenance and production planners can share their scheduling information easily.
With the Share Schedules feature, a maintenance planner can invite for instance production planners to review the maintenance scheduling and post comments on a schedule.
In production scheduling, the Monitor Work Center Schedules app enables a production planner to see also the maintenance periods.

If a functional location has been assigned to a maintenance order, you can now view the functional location and all subordinate locations and pieces of equipment in a hierarchical structure. In addition, you can see if and when the location is under maintenance in the next 4 weeks. Click the link for the functional location name and then click Open Maintenance Schedule. This takes you to the new View Maintenance Schedule for Assets app.
The following two videos show you how to access the new View Maintenance Schedule for Assets app via the Maintenance Scheduling Board app and the Manage Work Center Utilization app. A separate Fiori tile for the new app is not available because it is useful to open the hierarchical structure of assets view starting from the context information of the Maintenance Scheduling Board app and the Manage Work Center Utilization app.

With the 2005 release, the Configure Your Solution app offers two new configuration steps for Maintenance Order and Operations:

You can view and print attachments along with shop papers.
As a Maintenance Planner, you can now send attachments of an equipment or a functional location from the Change Maintenance Order app to the job list in the Display Job List app.
As a Maintenance Technician, you can select these attachments in the Display Job List app and print them along with the shop papers.
The attachments from equipment or functional location are displayed based on the following logic:
You can display change documents when you change or display
In a list of change documents you can see, amongst other things, when which field values were changed, the old and new values of these fields and who made the change. In the settings, you can define which table columns are to be displayed and filter the table according to individual values. A search function is also available.

Note: If you use the SAP Fiori apps
and if you want to display change documents, navigate from the list of selected objects to the detail page of a selected object, open the Related Apps menu and choose the Change or Display app of the respective object to display the change documents of the object.

Maintenance Management
New configuration steps for external service and material procurement
With the 2005 release, the Configure Your Solution app offers two new configuration steps for Maintenance Order and Operations:
- Create Default Value Profiles for External Procurement
This configuration step allows you to define a profile for external service and material procurement. Use default values such as purchasing organization, purchasing group, cost element, and material group. - Default Values for Task List Data and Profile Assignments
This configuration step allows you to assign predefined external material and task list profile to order type and plant combination as default values for order processing.

Maintenance Order: Print Attachments
You can view and print attachments along with shop papers.
As a Maintenance Planner, you can now send attachments of an equipment or a functional location from the Change Maintenance Order app to the job list in the Display Job List app.
As a Maintenance Technician, you can select these attachments in the Display Job List app and print them along with the shop papers.
The attachments from equipment or functional location are displayed based on the following logic:
- If the attachments are available in equipment and not in functional location, the attachments from the equipment are displayed.
- If the attachments are available in functional location and not in equipment, the attachments from the functional location are displayed.
- If attachments are available in equipment and functional location, only the attachments from the equipment are displayed.

- Technical Objects
- Maintenance Notifications
- Maintenance Orders
