Hello all viewer's

In this Blog we will see the detailed steps involved in undo changes with Engineering change management. Hope this functionality will known to somebody .But let me share some detailed steps here. with as example.

System details: S/4 HANA 1909 - S4CORE 102 0003

Bill of material before changes:

Engineering Change master creation: CC01

Cross-Application Components-->Engineering Change Management -->Change Number -->CC01 - Create

Enter the reason for change records,

Do activate the flag which are highlighted below,

Active for change number:

This indicator must be set before you can set further indicators for this object type. For example, you can only set the A management record is required for each object indicator, if this object type is active for the change number.

When you set this indicator for materials the system automatically sets the A management record is required for each object indicator as well.

Indicates that objects with this object type that you process with reference to this change number, can only be processed with object management records.

Management record:

When you process an object with reference to this change number, the system immediately generates the management record.

When you set this indicator you can only process an object with reference to this change number if an object management record exists for this object in the change master record.

Generation with dialog box:

This object type (such as bill of material), this indicator can be selected so that by using this change number management records are created via a dialog box. Immediately describe the reason for change, for the individual object, in a dialog box.

Enter the Material BOM details and alternative date to specify effective date also assign the BOM header.

Enter the reason for change

Click on the object and Enter the material,Plant and  Description (For BOM reference)

Enter the alter date valid from.

Select the date and assign to the required BOM  header.

Now the assigned BOM header can be changeable against the ECR  with the required effective date.

Change bill of material against the validity date.

Enter the required data ,Valid from date will be copied automatically (alternate date which we assigned)

Edit the BOM item as you requires. I ma changing required qty into 2 PC (Earlier it was 1)

Now you can see the changes made details in Engineering Change records,

Environment-->Reporting-->bill of material.

If the changes whatever we have done against change number get revoke.can possible through CCUNDO (Nice to hear this t codes- Hope this is the one t code which we have an action as t code nomenclature)

Select the BOM header & do the simulation from this we will know the result of this action (If any error exist)
