Hi for every one,

This blog post about how to re-explode BOM while converting the planned order to production (process) order.

As we know that the system standard behavior when running MRP is to explode BOM in planned order, and when converting this planned order to production order the system doesn't explode the BOM again but copy the planned order BOM to the production order.

But what if the BOM changed before converting the planned order and we need to consider these changes in production order ?

actually there is a standard solution for this situation.

Follow the path

IMG>>Production>>Shop Floor Control>>Master Data>>Order>>Define order type-dependent parameters

Select your order type

Expand the BOM Explosion

Select option 2 (Read with Newly Determined Explosion Date)

Conclusion

**At the time of converting planned order to production order system will act as follow:

Option blank >> the system will not explode the BOM but copy the planned order BOM to production order.

Option 1 >> the system will Re-explode the BOM at the planned order explosion date.

Option 2 >> the system will Re-explode the BOM at the time of conversion if the explotion date in the past.

Hope this is useful for you

Thanks
