Now as we are in the early days of spring, the excitement starts from my side for the SAP’s largest European HCM event. For the last few weeks as the brochure is on-the-air, I have examined the event details several times, taking notes of the interesting sessions and people. And now that I am writing this blog to share my enthusiasm with the readers, I hope I may be providing some reasons to the ones who are indifferent about attending the conference.

My very first motive for HR2015 attendance is to see my beloved friends, admired experts and exceptional conference production team. In my opinion, networking is the uppermost benefit of attending these types of events. I believe, this conference gives me the chance to freshen my friendship with a lot of fellow HCM friends each and every year. With SAP Insider conferences, you can make friends even with HCM experts who seemed, before the conference, like celebrities million miles away from you. jeremy.masters is one of these celebrities I had the chance to meet and chat during HR2013 Amsterdam conference. And, of course, another very well-known HCM celebrity is my fellow mentor friend martin.gillet2, whose profile photo glamorises the event web page each and every year. venki_sap, sven.ringling, luke.marson and many other HCM experts will be there for a quick chat or a long professional discussion.

Another motivation for me is to learn about the products I haven’t yet had the chance to implement myself, or to get deeper information and diverse implementation ideas on the products I have expertise in. All the SuccessFactors products are of high interest to me as we are now in the cloud-era and many of the customers are (considering) implementing cloud-based HCM solutions –mostly on “Talent” side- and the rest -at least- asks about it. Another hot topic for me is HR Renewal. HTML5 had a deep effect on User Interface capabilities and HR Renewal comprises of these UI updates as well as some attractive functional additions. In the last couple of months, we have started implementing HR Renewal for some of our customers and I strongly believe that it is a way sound b plan for those who have managerial or budgetary concerns about moving to cloud. During the conference, I am eager to learn many different implementation ideas about HR Renewal which I believe I can use to enhance my current and upcoming projects. Additionally, we have the old and powerful on-premise HR; sessions about which are all on my radar as I believe everybody needs refreshment of already existing knowledge from time to time. Last but not the least; four other conferences will be co-located with HR2015: FINANCIALS2015, BI2015, GRC2015 and HANA2015. Attendees of each conference will have the chance to attend sessions from other conferences with no additional cost. So, although I am an HCM person, getting an idea of other hot SAP topics, especially simple Finance, and meeting with people from diverse backgrounds sound tempting to me.

Although it doesn't very much sound professional, sightseeing is one of the strongest motives for me while deciding to attend a conference. And I definitely believe that the conference production team is much aware of this motive as they are organizing the conference in attractively touristic

cities around Europe. French Riviera with warm weather and turquoise water may sound charming and convince you to attend HR2015 even if you haven’t decided yet to do so

So, within two and a half months, I will be in Nice, with a heavy to-do-list in my luggage. And if you decide to do so, hurry up and register by April 24th to save €300. Lastly, come and find me so that we can establish a so-called “conference friendship”.
