My top 7 updates form the SAP S4/HANA 1909 (September 2019 release)

This month (September 2019) SAP has released its newest version of the S4/HANA system, version 1909. This release is the 5th release of the SAP’s intelligent ERP system (S4/HANA), specifically for the on-premise solution.

This product comes with many functional and technical innovations. In this release alone, there are 540+ new features being introduced. You can find the full list of new and changed features in this link. That said, you can imagine how hard it was to pick my top 7 items but let me try to take a stab at it and share with you what I consider to be the most interesting updates.

Before I go through my top 7 updates, let me tell you my thought process. First, I have decided to only look through the new features. Second, I have pre-determined 3 groups to help me stratify my most important updates. Lastly, I mapped my top picks against the pre-determined groups and rationalizing toward the most interesting ones I saw.
