This blog outlines about the Material Staging process through MF60
To transfer materials from a Warehouse Management (WM) location to an Inventory Management (IM) location for production purposes, ensuring that any shortfall quantities are identified and replenished.
Pre-requisite system set up:
Maintain Pull List Control
Movement type 311
Step 1: Create Production Order
(Mention the storage location in the production order to which materials needs to be staged)
Order 1000061 released and saved
Step 2: Check stock before staging the material
Step 3: Stage the Material using MF60 Transaction
(Mention the plant and check Storage location Level under Staging Types section)
Navigate to Global Settings
(Check Round up replenishment proposals & Stock Transfers Reservation)
leave the Selection Horizon for requiments field as blank.
Naviagate to Production/Process Orders and mention your inputs (In this case Materials has been passed) and execute.
Here you can able to see the requirements for the materials (Issue location picked from the production Order)
Select the Requirements Details and clik on Replenishment Elements
Select Total Requiments and click on Replenishment Proposals
Replenishment Elements Generated, mention the Replenishment location (Here you can mention your WM location)
Then select the line item and clik on Stage
Total Requirements Status will trun into green
Now save to post the documents.
Step 4: Check the stock after staging
Two reservations created
261 - Againts order for storage location 1004
311 - Transfer stock from 1001 (WM loc.) to 1004(IM Loc.)
You can check the same in MB25 Transaction
