Creating Application for Custom Analytical Query in S/4 HANA Cloud

Hello Community Members,

In this blog, I'm showcasing how to create a custom application tile based on a custom analytical query in S/4 Hana Cloud Environment.

Pre-requisite: Custom analytical query has been created.

 

Let's consider a scenario where we have to create an application based on below query -

 

Step 1. Open app View Browser and search for the required query, in our case it is - YY1_TESTGLBALREPORT.

 

Step 2. Select the query by using check-box on the left. This will enable the Create Application option at the top bar.

 

Step 3. Click on Create Application button, a pop-up will appear to maintain application's Title and Subtitle in specific language. Add the desired names in required languages and save the changes.

 

Step 4. Application will be created and application ID will be generated. Click on application ID and View in Catalog.

 

Step 5. It will open Custom Catalog Extensions app where you can assign your application in required Business Catalogs. Click on Add button to add the catalogs.

Step 6. Search and select the required catalogs and Publish the changes.

 

Once app is published it would be available in the catalog(s) and good to be used.

 

To conclude, an app can be created for a multi-dimensional report which is created on an analytical query, and can be added in business catalogs.
