Cloud Control Center PL 21

📅Released: June 23, 2025

📍Target audience: SAP Business One Partners, Cloud Operators, SAP Business One cloud customers and SAP Business One fan base in general.😎

Last week we launched SAP Business One Cloud 1.1 Patch Level 21 (PL21) — and if you’re using Cloud Control Center (CCC) to manage your SAP Business One Cloud landscape, this update is worth your attention.

PL21 is packed with enhancements focused on security, visibility, automation, and flexibility.

👉 In this post, I've rounded up 12 of the most impactful and attractive highlights — the ones i believe will make the biggest difference in your day-to-day operations.

Here’s a quick walk-through of what’s new 👇

🔐Certificate Expiration – Now Fully Visible

No more surprises!

The CCC home page now displays certificate expiration dates for your key components (License Servers, Service Layers, Job Services, etc.).

Bonus:

An automatic scan is triggered when CCC starts. You’ll get a warning if a certificate is expired or due to expire within the next 30 days — and yes, this can be toggled off in global settings if needed.

🔍See SLD Agent Versions at a Glance

You asked, we delivered — SLD Agent version info is now shown in the component details. Easier troubleshooting, less back-and-forth.

🧹 CCC Cleans Up After Itself

Every time you open CCC, it automatically removes logical machine logs older than 6 months.

You can also now remove unused logical machines more easily:

  • If the SLD Agent status is unreachable
  • If no SLD Agent is installed, just restart the SLD service to clean it up.

🔐Dynamic Key Encryption – Now Available for Tenants

Dynamic Key encryption can now be activated for tenants directly in CCC.
Strengthen your security posture without hassle.

⚠️UAP/CCC Version Mismatch Warning

If there’s a version mismatch between User Access Portal (UAP) and CCC, you’ll now see a clear warning.

A small heads-up that could save you from bigger issues.

⬆️Enforce Tenant Upgrades via Staging Units

A new global setting now lets you restrict tenant upgrades to staging service units only.

This adds a layer of control that’s especially useful in multi-tenant environments.

📊Analytics Services Initialization During Upgrade

When duplicating or upgrading tenants on SAP HANA service units, a new checkbox lets you automatically initialize the tenant in Analytics Services.

Less manual setup

Faster analytics availability

🔐Certificate Verification Built-In

Whether you’re installing CCC, UAP, or Tenant Configurator, new steps in the wizard ensure you only proceed with valid certificates in place. It’s a simple but vital enhancement.

💾Automatic B1AS Backup During Upgrade

During upgrades of CCC, a new wizard step now backs up the Authentication Service database (B1AS) — just in case. 🙌

📈High Availability Setup – Now Streamlined

We’ve made it easier to set up HA for your B1 Cloud components:

  • Simpler nginx reverse proxy installation
  • Updated SLD HA config files
  • No need to choose Admin/Worker mode during install — all nodes are now equal

Less complexity. More flexibility.

👥Operator Access with Boundaries

Need to involve someone in SAP Business One implementation without authorization to change CCC settings?

You can now assign the “Read-Only and Open PSU Connection” role — perfect for implementation experts who need access to the product but shouldn’t change cloud settings.

🆕One More Thing…

SAP Business One Cloud 1.1 PL21 now officially supports Microsoft SQL Server 2022.

That’s one more way we’re keeping your platform options open.
