With the release of SAP Business One version 10.0 FP 2405, users can now directly manage their User Defined Fields (UDFs) in the Web Client. This new functionality includes several capabilities that enhance the user experience:

Key Features

  • UDF Tile Display:
    • The Web Client now shows the current number of User Defined Fields in a tile, providing a quick overview of existing UDFs.

  • Filtering UDFs:
    • Users can filter UDFs, choosing to hide or show specific fields. For example, you can filter to show only UDFs related to Marketing documents. This filtering option is exclusively available in the Web Client.

  • Managing UDFs:
    • Users can create, edit, and delete UDFs directly from the Web Client. This streamlines the process and reduces the need to switch between different interfaces.

Showing User Defined Fields (already exists in previous versions)

  • Row Level UDF: users can create UDFs at the row level, making it easier to add custom fields directly to document lines.
  • Header Level UDF: header level UDFs are placed in a new tab. Additionally, there is an option to move UDFs to specific locations within other tabs using code via the UIAPI framework.
