Visualise end to end progress of Solution using Solution Quotation Fiori application

In today's fast-paced business environment, visibility and traceability are critical for effective decision-making. SAP’s Manage Solution Quotation Version 2 app addresses this need by offering a comprehensive view of the entire solution from creation of solution quotation to porgress of each follow-up documents execution. This blog highlighting the new feature and how businesses can leverage it to optimize operations.

From 2023 FPS01, new fiori app 'Manage Solution Quotations - Version 2' is availalbe to use. Using this app user can easily create new solution quotations or search or navigate to existing solution quotations. This app provides a network graph view, allowing user to track the status of a predefined set of follow-up documents such as sales orders, service orders, service contract or subscription contract. At each graphical node, like a sales order or subscription contract, you can see key details including the document ID and status with colour coded node of each follow-ups. A focused progress monitor is available at both the solution quotation header and item levels, offering a clear view of the overall process. Users can also navigate directly to specific documents or transactions, provided they have the necessary roles for access.

On open of this app you will see list of solution quotations created, user can search using the default filters, also can adapt the given filters.

To navigate to the details page of a solution quotation, click on the respective row. To visualize the end-to-end progress of the solution, user must click the "Action" button in the corresponding solution quotation row. On click on action button it opens the fiori object page with Details, Items and Progress Monitor. In this example I have used mixed bundled product which is a combination of different configurable non configurable products. Solution Quotation has been accepted which has generated its follow-up documents( sales order, service order, service contract and subscription contract).

By default, it shows the progress flow of the header documents as depicted in the image above. To visualize a specific item, click on the corresponding line item, To illustrate in this example I have selected item 40, which is a subscription item.

As you progress with specific documents, such as sales documents, you can visualize the further documents like outbound delivery and invoice. For example I have created billing documents for Subscription item and Service Contract, user can visualise end to end progress of header and items. 

Tips:The Progress Monitor UI offers useful controls in the right corner. Users can zoom in or zoom out, and clicking on 'Enter Full Screen' will expand the view for better visualization. Users can also highlight a particular document's flow by clicking on the document (node), as shown in the image below.

Another useful control is 'Expand All' and 'Collapse All.' As your document set grows, you can collapse all and expand only the documents you want to track. For example, here I have collapsed all documents and expanded the Service Contract flow.

Navigate to Documents from Progress Monitor: To navigate, the user can click on a node, which will display a set of buttons. By clicking the "Navigate to Document" button, the available navigation options(hyperlinks) will be shown depending on the user's authorizations. On click on hyperlink you can navigate from progress monitor to correponding documents. Similalry you can explore other interactive feature by clicking on button like Expand/Collapse, Node Details and Collapse Path.

In summary, the SAP  Manage Solution Quotation version 2 app offers a user-friendly interface for managing and tracking solution quotations. The SAP solution quotation progress monitor enhances business efficiency by providing full visibility into the solution, enabling faster decision-making and improved collaboration. This streamlined process helps organizations reduce errors, accelerate decision making, and optimize resource allocation, driving overall business growth.
