SAP MII for Manufacturing rapid-deployment solution V1.150 (UPGRADE) – Implement in as little as 10 weeks
SAP brings together manufacturing software and services in a new offering that enables manufacturing operations – quickly and affordably. The solution provides support for process manufacturing, discrete manufacturing, and manufacturing for mill industries.
- The example for process industries comprises multiple aspects of batch manufacturing, such as operator work preparation and execution, and includes work instructions, shift books, and monitoring.
- The examples for discrete and mill industries are realized as processes using lean user interfaces. These processes include sales and production order creation for discrete or batch-managed material.
The production order is execution on SAP MII. With SAP MII consumptions, goods receipt and valuation of characteristics are done enabling a lean order handling. For better adapting the plan to the execution level the SAP Shop Floor Dispatcher enables interactive dispatching of operations on individual machines and support different types of scheduling, e.g. Insert Operation, Find Slot, Infinite Planning etc.
The integrated business scenario starts in SAP ERP by creating transactional data, for example, process orders and inspection lots, and continues in SAP MII. The first scenario using process orders provides role-specific applications to support efficient manufacturing preparation, execution, documentation, and reporting within three predefined roles and manufacturing operations cockpits: Production supervisor, shift supervisor, and shop floor operator
