In the ever-evolving landscape of business regulations, Poland has recently introduced new legal requirements that demand a higher level of compliance in statutory reporting. These updates, part of the country's drive towards a digital and transparent business environment, necessitate that companies adjust their systems to meet the new standards, particularly for Statutory Reporting in Poland (JPK)These changes aim to enhance transparency, combat tax evasion, and improve the overall efficiency of the tax administration process.

End of Life for SAP SAF-T Add-on for Polish Regulatory Requirements

If you are using the SAP SAF-T Add-on for Polish Regulatory Requirements, it's crucial to note that this application is reaching its end of life. By December 31, 2027, this add-on will no longer be maintained, with SAP S/4HANA on-premise customers losing use rights even earlier (read SAP Note 3096074 - S4TWL - Add-on for Polish SAF-T regulatory requirements and 2269324 - Compatibility Scope Matrix for SAP S/4HANA).

The limitations of this add-on as a niche product have become more apparent as regulatory demands grow, making it imperative for businesses to migrate to more advanced solutions that can handle the complexities of modern compliance requirements. Read more about ‘SAF-T Strategy: SAP Document and Reporting Compliance future direction and lifecycle end’ in SAP Note 3526880.

  1. Our customer is using SAP ERP, add-on for Polish SAF-T regulatory requirements: End of PLVAT lifecycle shifted to 2027 ?
  2. Due to RISE we will convert in 2026 from OnPrem (currently SAP S/4HANA 2022 SPS03) to PrivateCloud – do we need to get product-converted? Or should we directly switch to DRC for SAF-T in 2026 as we need to switch in 2027 anyways (due to the current lifecycle end)? What do you suggest?

According to our local accountant Poland needs to comply with the new regulations for the extended SAF-T file: JPK_KR_PD and the new SAF-T file: JPK_ST_KR from January 1st,  2026 (starting from that date the records in accounting books should contain information that must be included in JPK-KR files subimtted for 2026 not later than on March 31, 2027).

    Currently subscriped license:

    7018942
SAP Doc and Reporting Compliance, ERP

    7018943
SAP ERP, add-on f Polish SAF-T rgltr req

Which license is required after 2027 for SAFT for E Document its clear.

Our customer is still on S4 onprem and will switch to private cloud mid of 2026 (RISE) do they have to change the licence for the  8013668 from the current one  (7018943) ?

    Thank you for your help.

Hi @z_truong

thanks for your questions!

1. Correct: SAP ERP, add-on for Polish SAF-T regulatory requirements is out of maintenance after Dec. 31, 2027.

2. We recommend to plan the transition to SAP Document and Reporting Compliance when you convert to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, in your case in 2026.

3. 7018943 SAP ERP, add-on f Polish SAF-T rgltr req and 8013668 SAP Document and Reporting Compliance are two separate solutions, so the licenses need to be swapped and a new project for SAP Document and Reporting Compliance is needed. 7018943 SAP ERP, add-on f Polish SAF-T rgltr req is our niche product that comes as a repeatable custom solution, with EoL on Dec. 31, 2027. SAP Document and Reporting Compliance is SAP's standard solution for statutory reporting and e-invoicing, in which the SAF-T Poland reporting functionality is now available (according to release, see roadmap).
