Update, as of April 4th, 2025

  • Early 2024, SAP published a document explaining integration aspects of "SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises".
  • In the meantime, the term "SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises" is succeeded by "SAP Sustainability Solutions".
  • Furthermore, capabilities related to integration were enhanced, e.g. "turnkey integration" of SAP Responsible Design and Production with SAP S/4HANA was released.
  • In sum, the content captured in the paper demands review and revision, hence the paper is withdrawn for the time being.
  • SAP will inform via SAP Sustainability Solutions | SAP Help Portal as soon as an updated paper is available.

Original Post (Feb-26, 2024)

SAP published a document that explains integration aspects of SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises, see SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises - Integration Aspects.

This paper provides an overview regarding integration aspects of SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises. The related page in the SAP Help Portal links to this document and provides the context for it – hence, we suggest to first view SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises | SAP Help Portal and subsequently turn to the paper.

The paper addresses cross-product integration aspects, that is, how the products that form SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises integrate with each other and with SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
The intention is to not repeat information regarding integration that is available for each of these products, rather, to reference such information assets and put them into context by providing an overview regarding integration aspects across products.

The audiences that we have primarily in mind are enterprise architects and experts in the field who engage with enterprise architects.
