Introduction
In this blog, we will discuss about the new Review Booklet app Group View on Accounting (GVA). The app provides a group view access of high granular and anytime access to the most recent Accounting data. The look and feel of the report is very similar to our existing reports in Group Reporting but based out of accounting data. A new analytical stack brings the data from accounting table ACDOCA and combines the existing Group Reporting analytical stack to deliver the results for this report to provide a Group View to end users.
GVA Columns
- Column 1: “Accounting”: The measures reflects the accounting data (ACDOCA). It includes both released and unreleased data.
- Column 2: “Accounting released”: The measures reflects the accounting release data that is as per the Entry timestamp of ACDOCA table <= release time stamp (table RTC_PULL_REQ)
- Column 3: “Accounting unreleased”: The measures reflects the unreleased data that is as per Entry timestamp of ACDOCA > release time stamp (table RTC_PULL_REQ)
- Column 4.1: “GR released”: The measures reflects the released data of Group Reporting as per PL blank ACDOCU table and consider the record type = U (only) (ACDOCU)
- Column 4.2: “GR adjusted” (PL blank CT, ANI): The measure reflects the CT and ANI of GR that is nothing but as as per PL blank of ACDOCU table
- Column 4.3: “GR corrected”: The measures reflects that manual postings that is as per PL 00, 01, 0C of Group Reporting Journals (ACDOCU)
- Column 5: “Delta GR Acctg. Released”: Column 4.1 - Column 2 (should always display a zero )
Pre-Requisites
The following are the pre-requisites for the proper functioning of the app
- The GRPL fields should be enabled
- Map FS items with G/L accounts
- The consolidation unit should be enabled for "Transfer From Universal Journal"
How unreleased data is reflected in the Review Booklet?

Also, releasing the ANI/CT task the data will be reflected in GR Retranslated as shown below.

Navigation
For the accounting columns you will be able to navigate to the Trial Balance app, provided the end user posses the necessary role as shown below.

Similarly you can navigate to Group Financial Statement app as shown below for Group Reporting columns:

Extensibility - Custom Fields
The fields need to be mapped in the SSCUI app Data Release Task: Define Mapping for Jrnl. You can map an existing or static field of General Ledger(ACDOCA) to a custom field in Group Journal(ACDOCU). Similarly, you can also map a custom field of General Ledger to a custom field in Group Journal as shown below.

The custom fields appear in the review booklet as shown below:

Commenting
The commenting feature offers the following:
- You can create, edit and display data cell or page comments
- Cell icon appears only when the navigation state matches at the time of creation of the comments
- You can classify the comments as Critical, Important, Medium, Low or None
- A status (Open, In Process, or Resolved) can be set to the comments
- You can tag a comment

- Custom fields of ACODCU are displayed in the Review Booklet and it is possible to map ACDOCA fields as explained above
